JAZZ BAND
The OHS Jazz Band is a select ensemble of the finest players in the program. The group performs consistently throughout the year at school functions, band concerts, henry county events, and state-wide jazz festivals. Though the group is only comprised of saxophone, trombone, trumpet, drum set, guitar and keyboard; the jazz ensemble explores a variety of genres. The group is led by Mr. Joshua Singleton.

PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE
The Ola High School Percussion Ensemble is a combination of two classes offered year round at Ola High School. During the Spring semester these classes work in conjunction on literature composed exclusively for them (no band accompaniment). During the fall these two classes are primarily split up: marching battery (snare, tenor, bass drum) taking one class and the front ensemble (bells, chimes, etc.) taking the other.

MARCHING MUSTANGS
The Ola Marching Mustangs are a highly decorated ensemble that competes at the national level on a yearly basis. The group is a Bands of America Regional and Super-Regional finalist, has travelled as far as London and Hawaii and consistently earns superior ratings at GMEA sanctioned competitions. The group is approximately 170 members for the 2019 season.

COLOR GUARD
The Ola High School Color Guard is an auxiliary unit that performs with the band at all performances. Utilizing flag, rifle and dance work, this auxiliary unit is a select group that serves to visually portray the music and add another dimension to the image of the band. Each member must audition for membership on the color guard, and auditions for the group are held each spring in April. However, their work does not stop there - the winter guard program is a highly competitive independent unit that competes at a national level. The Ola High School Varsity Winter Guard is a proud SAPA and WGI regional finalist.
